Council of Pediatric Subspecialties (CoPS)

The Council of Pediatric Subspecialties was created in 2006 as an organization to address common issues to Pediatric subspecialists, related to clinical care, education and research. Initially charged by the Association of Medical School Pediatric Department Chairs (AMSPDC), the American Board of Pediatrics, the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD) and the Federation of Pediatric Organizations to address fellowship application dates and modeled in part on the Internal Medicine Association of Specialty Professors, CoPS has evolved into a well coordinated organization. CoPS has an emerging track record of success and a developed voice for Pediatric subspecialists. CoPS is developing an ambitious and achievable set of goals for near future activities and will need the support and contributions of pediatric subspecialists in these endeavors.

Please take a moment to review the history, progress and plans of CoPS on their website. Please also review the short slide show designed to disseminate easily and quickly the message that CoPS is a new organization that will be a voice for Pediatric subspecialists not previously represented as a single group.
