The Official Journal of ASPHO

Pediatric Blood & Cancer, published monthly by Wiley-Blackwell, is the official journal of ASPHO and the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP).  The journal's editor-in-chief is Robert J. Arceci, MD PhD, of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, Baltimore. The editorial board members are internationally representative of the constituencies of both ASPHO and SIOP.

The journal publishes manuscripts describing basic and clinical investigations of blood disorders and malignant diseases of childhood, including diagnosis, treatment, epidemiology, etiology, biology, and molecular and clinical genetics of these diseases as they affect children, adolescents, and young adults. Pediatric Blood & Cancer also includes studies on such treatment options as hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, immunology and gene therapy.

A joint ASPHO and SIOP Publications Committee meets regularly to provide support, oversight and guidance to the journal. Members of the committee include the presidents and officers of each society. This committee is chaired by Peter Newburger, MD.

Other societies affiliated with and contributing to the journal include The Histiocyte Society, the European Society for Paediatric Hematology and Immunology, and the International Society of Paediatric Surgical Oncology.
